La 3e section européenne à Londres 2011-2012

February 2012,  3e Section Européenne visits London with Mr Quinqueneau and Miss Havas.

The students will also meet their penfriends in Dunraven School, with their teacher Miss Prescott.

Friends in Cameroon 2011-2012

This year, our class 4eA  had  contacts with another year 9 in Douala, in Cameroon, 4e E in collège Saint-Michel. Our English teacher, Miss Havas, worked with their English teacher, Miss Chifor, thanks to a European  project. you can read more on :                    http://lemondedevalmy.blogspot.fr/2012/07/partenariat-nord-sud.html

We sent letters through mails and Miss Havas visited them during the holidays, in February.  She showed them a presentation we had prepared and gave them a few posters we had made for them.

A little game: they had to read our descriptions and find out who is who!

We exchanged opinions about the relationship between boys and girls, and compared things in Cameroon and in France. It was very interesting!

In Paris, we used an African English book for a lesson about equality between men and women. We could see everybody shares the same problems!

We also met the Mayor of Maroua 1, a town in north Cameroon, and its Lamido, the spiritual guide of the city, at La Mairie du 10e.

We could asks many questions and had very interesting answers.

We wrote a story with the Douala students, about love and racism. It was illustrated by an Burkinabe artist.

On June 21st, we participated to the "RIO +20+40" event that took place at the Museum d'Histoire Naturelle and explained what we did.

Finally, we produced a poster to express our feelings:

The Story Hunters 2009-2010

I loved the tale  The Fox and the Stork. I liked the show, it was very funny!                                                                                            Pierre

The actors played their parts: the woman played a fox and the man played a stork. Fox loves meat and Stork loves soup!                                                    Maïssane

I liked the show because it was funny!

The two tales:  I loved the tale “The Fox and the Stork” because it was good!  The actors were good but I don’t know the secret behind the stage.  I hated “The Fisherman” but I preferred “The Wolf and the Goat”.                                                                                           Florène

I liked “ The Fisherman”, “The Fox and the Stork”, but I didn’t like “ The Hare and the Tortoise”. I adored “The dog” but I hated ”The Lion”. The show was very good.                                     Jennyfer

I liked “The Fox and the Stork” because they had funny clothes.         Erwan

I liked the show. It was very good. I preferred “The Tortoise and the Hare” because the Hare is fast and the tortoise is slow, but the tortoise wins the challenge.  I didn’t like “ The Stork and the Fox” because it was not funny. I adored the song because it was very funny.

I liked the show and I loved the actors. I loved “The Hare and the Tortoise” too.  The winner is the tortoise!!!

I loved the show! It was very good! I loved “the Hare and the Tortoise” it was very funny. The tortoise is slow and the hare is fast, but the tortoise wins the challenge!                                   Forate

At the theatre:
What I liked in the play was the different tales. They were funny and at the end of every tale, the music was nice!                                        Pauline

A day in London: 2009-2010

  Hi!

Today we are studying English in London, instead of staying in the class.
Miss Choemet and Miss Havas have agreed to come with us and so we are enjoying a day in London.

But we have work to do: interviewing people in the street,
finding lots of answers to the questions our English teacher has asked!

And at last we meet our penfriends in Saint James Park! They look great in their uniforms!

We all go on a  cruise on River Thames, up to Tower of London. We chat together eventhough it's not very easy!

Then we say goodbye because our penfriends must go back to school!

But for us, it's a ride on the London Eye, and we can see all of London.

A few more questions to answer and then we take the Eurostar back to Paris!
